Traffic law

We give you legal advice on all issues concerning traffic law. We have listed which fields of law are included below. Please note our pages containing further information on each traffic law topic.

Civil traffic act

You have been involved in a traffic accident and the opposing insurance company does not want to pay? Or they only want to pay a part? In addition, there are more problems because other persons were also involved? And you were only the driver and not the registered keeper?

Civil traffic law deals with such issues. It is often a matter of various claims, various people, several injured parties and/or several persons responsible for causing the accident and moreover, contradicting statements about the circumstances of the accident are usually at hand.

In addition, civil traffic law includes issues concerning the purchase of new and second-hand cars as well as vehicle leasing.

In detail, civil traffic law covers the following:

  • Vehicle claims settlement
  • Personal injury settlement
  • Vehicle insurance law
  • Buying a car
  • Vehicle leasing

Driving license act

The driving license act covers all issues concerning the withdrawal and the reinstatement of your driving license.

In this connection, issues concerning the so-called medical-psychological examination (MPE), colloquially called the "idiot test" are especially to the fore. We give you advice on the procedure of the MPE and the possibilities of systematically preparing yourself for the MPE. In addition, we apply for a reduction in the ban period at the court of jurisdiction, if the necessary requirements are at hand. We also assist in clarifying disputable issues concerning the MPE.

When the driving license is reinstated, action has to be taken fast. To prepare for the MPE and with regard to a possible reduction in the ban period, it is necessary to attend a consultation and training regarding traffic psychology as soon as possible. We help you to increase the chances of a positive MPE assessment. In doing so, we work together with a traffic psychologist, who prepares you for the MPE in a responsible and competent manner.

In detail, the driving license act covers the following:

  • Registration in the central traffic registry
  • Order to undergo a medical-psychological examination (MPE)
  • Order to undergo a traffic medicine examination
  • Withdrawal of a driving license
  • Reinstatement of a driving license
  • Recognition of a foreign driving license
  • Order to keep a driver's logbooks
  • Citation to pay towing charges
